We have provided
large and small rental sound systems for national and local touring acts in the
major clubs on the east coast from New York City to South Beach, Florida. Our
staff has mixed for many national acts, specializing in multi mix stage
monitors. Philadelphia Sound Productions, Inc. (PSP) provided production services for a talent showcase in 8 separate
markets for three years under contract with the Coors Brewing Company. We have
provided rental systems to numerous schools for their in house productions. We
also have our own black box stage, and digital studio located at our offices
used for rehearsals or rental.
Philadelphia Sound
Productions, Inc. has worked events and with clients such as, Woodstock 99,
The Davis Cup, Longwood Gardens, The Philadelphia Zoological Society, Harmon
International, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Mann Center for the
Performing Arts, the Paper Mill Playhouse, in off-Broadway Theatre, Martin
Marietta (corporate presentations), the City of Philadelphia, ABC in support of
the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade live transmission, the Variety Club
Telethon (24 hour live broadcast), and various remote broadcasts for WPEN, WXPN,
WMMR, WYSP, WDRE, as well as several large scale events along the eastern coast.
Our Rental Systems are
comprised of state of the art name brand equipment. We custom tailor each rental
system to fit the exact needs of our customers according to their event's
situation and budget, always maintaining the highest level of quality possible.
In 1991, Tekcom Corp.
(Philadelphia's then largest professional audio contractor) went out of business
leaving a void in the professional audio market. Philadelphia Sound Productions,
Inc. took this opportunity to further expand operations to include retail sales,
design services, and installations. In the following years as business increased
we secured a firm spot in this market as well as the support and respect of many
professional audio manufacturers, our clients, and our competitors.
Philadelphia Sound
Productions, Inc. is a dealer in the following DIGITAL sound system formats,
and has staff certified with Harman Pro HiQnet™, Crown IQ, BSS (Soundweb
& London Architecture), I.E.D., Peavey Media
Matrix, Control Matrix, Bi-Amp Audia, and several other systems. We use and have been fully
trained in the programming and use of AMX control panels. We are Crown IQ
certified, and have installed many systems using its technology. PSP uses Crown
IQ, BSS, Klark Teknik, and XTA in our own in house rental and production systems.
We are a Factory
Trained Warranty Center for many products we sell, and stock many JBL and EV
repair parts. We also in our inventory carry most major parts for EAW, JBL
consumer, Tanoy, Cerwin Vega, and Altec Lansing. We service and repair all
products we sell and or install. Philadelphia Sound has factory trained
personnel for JBL, Electro Voice, Community Professional as well as many other major manufacturers, and
we have been providing speaker re-coning for these products for over 25 years.
Design consists of the
designing & implementation of a sound system for a client to fit their specific
needs and financial means. We use the latest computer software CADP2, EASE,
Stardraw, and SMAART Pro to model the client's "room" and environment. We will
take a system from the imagination to the drawing board, and then install and
tune it to make it work as it was first imagined. We provide sub contractor
services to general contractors and electrical contractors using AutoCAD and
other cutting edge computer tools made exclusively for the professional audio
industry in our submittals, and we can install and implement systems designed by
outside consultants. We will install at the owner’s location any system we
design, or any bid specification we win. We are proud to implement systems
designed by outside consultants and work with many of the nation’s top audio
consulting firms.

the ability to buy the best products available, at the best prices. PSP holds
stock many of the required products needed by the installing contractors and end
users of these audio systems, and we take advantage of our great relationships
with many manufacturers to ensure the quick delivery from stock to the
customer's job, making for a smooth and hassle free system install. This also
insures that the equipment is the latest version and release from the
manufacturer and not stock that has sat on the shelf for months and could be
outdated or discontinued.
We can Custom
Fabricate specific devices to fit customers unique needs and pre fabricate
systems off site at our facility, then reassembling them on the owners site,
including custom engraving done at our facility. We also can provide 24 hour
emergency service to our customers, backed by our rental inventory and
equipment, insuring your show will go on as scheduled should any emergency
arise.
